There’s so much noise out there in the fantasy football world these days that it’s hard to know how to evaluate players, teams, offenses, defenses, and coaches, let alone how to consider how all of those factors influence who you should start or sit, who you should be playing in DFS, who you should be adding and dropping… you get the point. Fantasy football is hard enough because it’s filled with week-to-week variance, but it becomes even harder when you can’t sift through that variance and make good decisions. Even then, let’s say that you are making good decisions driven by good process, well, they don’t always work out, and that’s because the NFL is controlled chaos.
It’s hard to understate how much things in the NFL change from one week to the next. Between ever-evolving player utilization, efficiency, and injuries, there’s a silver lining. We can contextualize the carnage each week better than our opponents, and, in doing so, we can give ourselves the best chance to win.
